Social Safeguard Department

The global, multidisciplinary EQMS team provides social consultancy services that can put together the best team of experts with the particular expertise and skills necessary to achieve sustainable outcomes of development projects and other public/private initiatives. In order to manage environmental and social challenges and risks in development projects and mitigate the adverse impacts on community and the environment, we prioritize proper planning, assessment, mitigation measure and management plan of the projects’ actions to ensure best remedies and practices. We make sure that community inclusion is a top concern throughout the project lifetime by incorporating social considerations into project design, management systems, policy formulation and implementation.

The Social Safeguard Department (SSD) at EQMS is focused on managing social risks and ensuring positive outcomes for communities impacted by projects. Our team of social safeguard specialists and data analysts brings expertise in Social Impact Assessments (SIA), resettlement planning, livelihood restoration, and community engagement. Utilizing advanced survey tools, GIS mapping software, and social risk assessment platforms, the department delivers data-driven insights to support socially responsible project development. SSD at EQMS is committed to transparent communication, stakeholder engagement, and accessible grievance redress systems, while ensuring compliance and sustainable, positive impacts through robust monitoring and evaluation practices.
