Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a rapidly growing industry in Bangladesh. The gap between demand and supply of natural gas is widening day by day, because of the massive conversion of fuel-run automobile engines to CNG and increased pressure of growing industries and households on energy supply. Government of Bangladesh has decided not to permit any new NG connection to household and as a result demand for LPG increases as alternative fuel in Bangladesh. LPG has already proved to be best substitute for NG/biomass fuel. United LPG Limited has been incorporated to capitalize on these opportunities by developing a national integrated LPG infrastructure to import, store, bottle, transport, distribute and retail LPG to household consumers. The proposed plant will be developed on 6.9 acres land having 20, 000 MT capacity at Rangadia village in Boirag Union of Anwara Upazila under Chattogram District.
