The Dipon Group is proposing to set up a LPG Terminal Project in Cox‟s Bazar District of Chittagong Division in Bangladesh. The project site is located approximately 349.9 km southeast of Dhaka on the western bank of the Moheshkhali Channel. As per the agreement with Bangladesh State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources & Government of Bangladesh (GOB), the main objective to develop cost effective Bulk LPG import facility in Bangladesh to fulfill the present and future demand of LPG in Bangladesh and nearby market including North East Part of India. The Project is interested in taking project finance from international financial institutions which may include the Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Korean Development Bank (KDB), and or others, which requires an environmental and social assessment in line with the environmental and social requirements of these lenders as well as the regulatory requirements in Bangladesh. 

Dipon Group has therefore initiated the environmental impact assessment study to comply with the environmental impact assessment (EIA) guidelines of the GOB; the Performance Standards (PS) of the IFC and the Safeguard Policy Statement (SPS) of the ADB. EQMS Consulting Limited has been engaged to conduct this EIA study. 

DIPON, a leading business house, was established in the year of 1970-just before the independence of Bangladesh. Immediately it bagged its first pipeline deal with Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited. In the many years that followed, the company has done a series of projects with Titas and other state owned companies, in pipeline construction and other specialized engineering and construction projects. This LPG Terminal Project is located at Shaplapur Union of Maheshkhali Upazila, District: Cox‟s Bazar, Division: Chittagong. The Capacity of terminal is 1,000,000 MTPA supply of LPG. And Propane and Butane will be imported through SPM. SPM will be placed in Bay of Bengal about 8 KM offshore in water depth of about 27 Meters. Imported Propane and Butane from others place in VLGC Max. Size of 88000 CBM. All the pressure will discharge from Ship. Terminal will have Storage of Propane and Butane, Mixing & Export facility of LPG. After that LPG will be exported via Barge tankers, Road Tankers and Pipeline
