230kV Substation and ESIA study for the Steel Mill

Project Details

The power generated from power plant will be about 150 MW. With minimum estimated auxiliary power consumption of 15 MW (10%), the power available for evacuation will be about 135 MW (168.75 MVA at 0.8 pf). Power evacuation is proposed through 230 kV switchyard located in the power plant premises, which will be connected to the 230 kV Double Circuit Three (3.0) KM long Transmission Line up to first gantry of proposed 230 kV GIS substation. Start up power for the unit will be drawn from the grid through the switchyard located in power plant premises, generator transformer and unit auxiliary transformer keeping the Generator circuit breaker open. The generator unit will be synchronized with 230kV Switchyard through generator transformer by closing the respective generator circuit breaker. 230 kV switchyard located in the power plant premises will be provided with two main bus scheme.
