Environmental Safeguard Department (ESD) has comprised very
strong, experienced, and devoted professionals capable of providing solutions
in various environmental sectors at the level of national as well as
international standards and guidelines. The expertise services of EQMS has been
acquired over a period of a decade working with the requirements of public and
private sector industries/agencies as well as enhancing skill through the
exposition of updated training needs.
Our Expertise
EQMS has over 20 years’ experience of complex and challenging environmental impact assessments and of writing environmental statements for a wide range of projects.

We offer a complete, integrated service covering all phases of developments from master planning to EIA, and from strategic environmental assessment to construction environmental management plans.
Experienced
We have environmental teams in centers of expertise in Bangladesh, Canada, South Korea, Bhutan, and South Africa. Drawing on local experts, we provide core staffing for environmental services supported by specialists in all the disciplines required to complete a complex EIA. We helped our clients complete EIAs such as for the Regional Solar Park and Transmission Lines project in the Gambia, Resilient Natural Resources Management in Tanzania, Groundwater Initiative Project in Horn of Africa, Power Plant projects in Bangladesh, to name a few. We're experienced in creating, leading and working within multidisciplinary teams.

ESD is working with the World Bank Environmental and Social Standards (ESS 1-10) under Environmental and Social Framework (ESF 2018), IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability 2012, ADB Safeguard Policy Statement, JICA, KfW, UKEF, EP-IV, AIIB, AfDB, OECD, DEG, and WBG General and Sectoral EHS guidelines.
